The Impossible Feat

No matter how good you are at badminton, I think it is very unlikely that you will be able to hit three targets in six attempts. So I would like to offer you a challenge. If you think you have what it takes to beat the odds, prove me wrong!

What is Shoootle

Shoootle is a game that involves hitting shuttlecocks with a badminton racket into circular targets made of recycled shuttlecock tubes. It is quite versatile and can be enjoyed both indoors and outdoors, either solo or with a group of friends.

Playing Shoootle has several benefits that can improve your physical and mental health, including:

  • 1

    Hand-eye coordination & muscle memory

Shoootle requires a high level of hand-eye coordination, which has the potential to enhance your reflexes and develop your muscle memory. This, in turn, can lead to an improvement in your low serve.
  • 2

    Stress relief

Playing Shoootle can be a fun and relaxing way to relieve stress and tension.
  • 3

    Mental focus

Shoootle requires a great deal of concentration and focus, which can help improve your mental acuity and cognitive abilities. Players must learn to quiet their minds and focus their attention on the target, while remaining calm and centered.
  • 4

Shoootle is a great social activity that can bring people together and help build new friendships after a game of badminton.

How to Play

Here are the basic steps to playing Shoootle:

  • 1

    Get the equipment

You will require a Shoootle, shuttlecocks, and a badminton racket. Shoootle can either be mounted on a stand or hung against the wall.
  • 2

    Setup the Shoootle

Shoootle should be hung or mounted at a height 1.60 meter from the ground to the center of the board. The hitting line, also known as the serve, should be marked 3.00 meter from the face of the Shoootle.
  • 3

    Choose a game

There are many variations to the game you can play, such as 3-Hit, Semicircle, or Fullcircle. Choose one and familiarize yourself with the rules and scoring. You may also create your own games!
  • 4

    Determine the order of play

Players can flip a coin or throw a shuttlecock to determine who goes first.

  • 5

    Take turns hitting

Each player takes turns hitting six shuttlecocks at the Shoootle. Aim for the designated areas depending on the types of game you are playing.
  • 6

    Calculate the score

Add up or subtract the points for each shuttlecock that landed in a designated tube. You may designate different points to each tube depending on the types of game you are playing.
  • 7

    Continue hitting

Players continue to take turns hitting until someone reaches the target score, or until a predetermined number of rounds have been played.
  • 8

    Win the game

The player who reaches the target score first or has the highest score at the end of the game wins.
